Steel Door Institute Sponsors AIA Course at DHI Conference

October 3, 2011 WESTLAKE, Ohio –The Steel Door Institute’s first AIA-registered educational course will be presented at the Door and Hardware Institute’s 36th Annual Conference and Exposition in New York City, October 26 and 27.

Steel: Green Now, Green Forever will be presented as part of a free Lunch and Learn session on Thursday, October 27 at the Javits Convention Center. Industry veterans Jason Lisewski and Tom Barnard of Republic Doors and Frames will be the course presenters. Attendees will receive one AIA/CES LU HSW/SD hour.

The class focuses on the production and recyclability of steel in the construction industry, including LEED credits earned by using steel, steel compliance with green building code requirements, and upcoming revisions to the International Green Construction Code (IGCC).
