Member Qualifications

Membership in the Steel Door Institute is open to any US based company that meets, at minimum, the following qualifications:
  • Manufactures steel doors and/or frames for use in the non-residential construction industry
  • Sells its products in at least 15 states in the United States
  • Sells at least 51% of its products through distributors
There are additional qualifications to become a member of the Steel Door Institute. Please provide us with the information requested on the Membership Qualifications Form to help us evaluate your request for membership. We will contact you with additional questions or requests for information.
